Party Sausage Ball Recipes

No holiday party is complete until somebody serves sausage balls. Fill a party platter quickly by either making your favorite sausage balls or by offering sampler platters of several varieties to your guests.

Basic Sausage Ball Recipe

Party Sauage Ball Recipes

These easy-to-make party sausage balls save well and are delicious with or without a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk sausage, hot or mild.
  • 3 cups Bisquick mix
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, finely minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Allow sausage and cheese to come to room temperature for easier mixing.
  2. Preheat oven to 370 degrees. Spray baking sheet with vegetable oil cooking spray.
  3. Combine all ingredients, mix well by kneading almost as you would a bread dough and shape them into 1 inch balls by squeezing the mixture so it holds together, and then rolling between the palms of your hands to form the balls. The mixture is going to feel dry and crumbly if it is not mixed well.
  4. Place the balls on the baking sheet and bake for 18 - 20 minutes or until golden brown. To prevent the balls from sticking, move them around with a spatula about halfway through cooking.

Spicy Italian Sausage Balls

1 pound Italian sausage, hot or mild

3 cups Bisquick mix

1 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 cup bellpepper, chopped

1 pinch parsley flakes

1 pound Italian sausage, hot or mild

3 cups Bisquick mix

1 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

2 cups sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed

Maple Syrup Sausage Balls

1 pound Italian sausage, hot or mild

3 cups Bisquick mix

1 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

Apple cheese Sausage Balls

2 pounds bulk sausage

1 egg

4 small apples, peeled and diced

8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese

1 package unseasoned bread crumbs
