Halloween in New Orleans
If you are looking for childish fun in a controlled atmosphere, Ghosts in the Oaks may be just what you need. This is a fund raiser for New Orleans City Park, which was damaged severely by Hurricane Katrina. The event is held on Friday, October 23, in Storyland from 6pm-9pm. Kids can relax and meet fairy-tale characters like Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White. Let the little ones wear costumes and get ready for trick-or-treating, lots of food and great music.
New Orleans Audubon Zoo hosts it’s annual ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event October 23-25. Kids 12 and under will enjoy trick-or-treating, playing games and taking a ride on the Zoo’s familiar ‘Ghost Train’. Tickets must be pre-purchased and are sold in limited quantities, begining September 1st. This event is a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital and Audubon Zoo.
