Valentine’s Day Tissue Paper Flowers – Craft

Beautiful Tissue Paper Flower Bouquets for Valentine’s DayBeautiful Tissue Paper Flower Bouquets for Valentine’s Day

This project will help you create a variety of beautiful tissue paper flowers that you can use to decorate or give as gifts for Valentine’s Day.

Materials:

  • Tissue paper in different colors
  • String
  • Green pipe cleaners
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Start by picking three different colors of tissue paper that you would like to use to make your flower. If the tissue paper is not in a small size, cut the sheets until they are in a square shape that measures approximately 8 in by 8 inch.

Lay the sheets down on top of each other on a flat surface. Grab the end of all three sheets of paper and fold it over about an inch. Flip the paper and fold it back so that you are making an accordion fold. Continue this process until the entire length of the paper is folded like an accordion. You should now have a stack of folded paper that measure approximately 1 in wide and 8 in long.

Wrap a green pipe cleaner around the center of your paper, 4 in from either end. Twist the pipe cleaner to secure it on the tissue paper. It is fine if the tissue paper wrinkles during this step.

Next, separate and fan the individual sheets of tissue paper out until they form a puffy flower shape. Be careful not to tear the tissue paper during this step.

Repeat these steps to make a variety of tissue paper flowers for a bouquet. Once you have completed all of your flowers, tie the pipe cleaner stems together using a piece of ribbon. You can also add a card to the ribbon if the flowers will be given as a gift.

You can also make hanging flowers by using a piece of string to tie around the tissue paper instead of a pipe cleaner. Tie the string and then tack one end of the string onto the ceiling to create a beautiful design element in any room.
